Saturday Club-French Knitting Pets Kids Workshop 10am-12 noon For this week only the session will take place on Sunday not Saturday morning. French knitting is known by many different names including loom knitting, tomboy knitting and cork knitting. The earliest written records date from 1535 in France, however there is evidence to suggest the Romans were using the same method in the 1st century. At this workshop Cat will teach the children how to French knit using a loom. There will be a choice of colourful wool to choose from. They can create their piece in a singular colour or mix it up and use different colours. Cat will show them how to change colour. Finally they will learn how to coil their knitted pieces to create an animal of their choice and stitch on any additional decoration. This Kids Workshop is at an introductory level. No previous experience needed. Artist age 5-15 Drop off and pick up. No need for parents/carers to stay unless they want to. Workshop takes place at Catz Cabin 25 Mere Lane, Sandiway, Northwich, Cheshire
